School Nurse
(Full-time)

The school nurse functions independently and must demonstrate autonomy in decision-making and practice. Assumes the roles of provider of student health care and planner and coordinator of the school health program at Calvary Christian Academy in collaboration with school and church leadership. This is a full-time salaried position following the school calendar. Must be able to model a strong relationship with Jesus Christ in all student, staff, and family interactions.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. Degree in Nursing, which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation. Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience. Experience in school health, public health, home health, emergency department, or pediatrics preferred.

Certification: School Nurses are required to obtain National Certification in School Nursing within three years of employment. 

Licenses: A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Current CPR certification.


Music Teacher
(Part-time)

The part-time music teacher will teach all grade levels, kindergarten through seventh grade. creating a cohesive, grade-appropriate music-based curriculum. Must model a strong relationship with Jesus Christ in all student, staff, and family interactions and incorporate biblical integration into lesson planning.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Music Education; master’s preferred. A minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.


Art Teacher
(Part-time)

The part-time art teacher will teach in all grade levels, kindergarten through seventh grade, creating a cohesive, grade-appropriate visual arts curriculum. Must model a strong relationship with Jesus Christ in all student, staff, and family interactions and incorporate biblical integration into lesson planning.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Art or Art Education. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred.


Substitute Teachers 

Substitute teachers will work as needed throughout the school year. Must be able to model a strong relationship with Jesus Christ in all student, staff, and family interactions.

Experience: Bachelor’s degree; classroom teaching experience is preferred but not required.
